Yele Oyekola, Co-Founder and CEO Yele began his career as a credit-focused Financial Analyst before moving to the United Nations supporting national governments in Africa on their economic policies.
In 2019, he founded a Buy-Now, Pay-Later startup for East Africa, Julla focused on helping e-commerce businesses start, manage and grow their business with ease.
Julla ran its operations till December 2020 and in January 2021, Yele took his learnings from Julla and joined Carbon as a Product Lead scaling their Buy-Now, Pay-Later product. Now, Yele is focused on building and scaling Duplo with the vision to be the premier payment rail powering global trade.
He holds a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
Tunde leads the product team at Duplo. Before launching Duplo, Tunde worked at Jumia building JumiaPay Business and Consumer businesses. He was the Country Manager at Seedstars where he launched multiple fintech companies like Quickcheck and Lendigo. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Information Systems from Northumbria University and an MBA from HEC Paris.
Adeola began his career as a a hands-on engineer and solutions architect at Interswitch playing a leading role in delivering Payments, Collections, Banking and Disbursement services on the African Continent having championed notable solutions like Quickteller.com, Paydirect, Verve and a pioneer engineer and integration specialist in the switching space.
In 2018, he moved over to Transferwise (now Wise) to help the company establish footing in the Latin American space, working with key partners, regulators, and engineering teams. Having contributed to Wise achieving its banking license in that region, he them moved unto greater responsibilities at global companies in the UK like Gamesys, Gocardless and Monzo where he provided much needed leadership as a Senior Manager, then Group Head of Engineering, playing a critical role in global user acquisition, international regulations, payments, direct debit and lending divisions respectively.
He comes to us from Stears, a pioneer and leading data insights company in the investment pace, where he was critical to laying the foundation for what has come to be know as Stears Business as the Group Head of Engineering and topped that up as Vice President of Engineering overseeing Stear’s global engineering strategy
He holds a B.Sc in Computer Science and Economics from the Great Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria
